The COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc worldwide for almost a time period of 2 years, from late 2019 to the middle of 2021. It began in China in November 2019 and spread to other parts of the world slowly, but nationally, the spread of the virus was very quick-paced.
The epidemic began in November 2019 and spread unabated throughout the world by 2020, when the effect of COVID-19 was at its apex. The WHO defines coronavirus as an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. People infected with the COVID-19 virus are at risk of developing mild to moderate respiratory illness.
However, the disease poses a significant hazard to the elderly, persons with certain medical conditions, and young children. COVID-19 can infect anyone at any age or stage and cause severe illness or death. As a result, the WHO advises that staying informed about ways to control the spread of COVID-19 is the best way to avoid contracting the infection.
After robust research and efforts, the vaccine for COVID-19 was finally developed and was provided for public use in the middle months of 2021. Shortly after, the vaccination was made mandatory for every citizen who wanted to travel within the country or abroad. Also, there were some issues with vaccine acceptance which means that some people were hesitant to take the vaccine, but slowly this hesitancy was recovered. The majority of the people began to take the vaccines. Finally, with the vaccine being mandatory, a vaccination certificate was issued to the people who served as proof of vaccination.
After administering two doses, a third precautionary or booster dose has been developed to ensure that people remain completely protected from the infection. Booster doses are provided to citizens who have already received the two initial vaccine doses. They are entitled to register for the Booster dosage online. The dose is administered to persons in order to restore the effectiveness of previous vaccinations. The dose is administered to protect citizens from the many variations discovered in new cases.
The citizen’s immunity is boosted to combat unknown infections that change shape and nature. The booster dose of Corbevax is available for all people above 12 years of age, and the Covovax vaccine is available for children below 12 years of age.
