KXIP Team 2023

It was founded in 2008 under the name Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). The franchise was renamed in 2021 as Punjab Kings. The PCA Stadium in Mohali is where the squad plays its home games. Since 2010, they have also played a few of their home matches at Indore or Dharamsala. 

The team was established with debut of IPL but has never succeded in winning the title. The Punjab Kings (PBKS) team officially claimed the title of 2014’s runner-up in the Indian Premier League. The squad has only made one additional playoff appearance in 13 seasons, in 2014, when they finished runners-up and atop the league standings.

KXIP Team Captain 2023

Shikhar Dhawan, a famous player from Indian cricket team, will lead the Punjab Kings team in the upcoming IPL season of 2023 as its new captain. Shikhar Dhawan’s appointment as team captain, according to certain accounts, was decided upon by the franchise’s board of directors. This action by the franchise was anticipated.

Mayank Agarwal led the Punjab Kings during the most recent IPL 2022 season. Initially, KL Rahul was meant to lead the team as captain, but he switched to the Lucknow Super Giants. The captain was then promoted to Mayank Agarwal. Shikhar Dhawan will now take over as the Punjab Kings captain in IPL 2023 from Mayank Agarwal.
