However, the 2022 season has not been the best for the Mumbai Indians team. Mumbai has never lost eight games in a row to begin an IPL season. The previous low for Mumbai was five losses in 2014, but the season was turned around, and Mumbai made the playoffs. Captain of the MI team

Rohit Sharma has been the captain of MI since the 2013 edition of IPL matches. Under his leadership, the team won the IPL tournament four times.
