The Crown offers the life story of Queen Elizabeth II, from her marriage to the Duke of Edinburg, Philip, in 1947 until the 21st century. In Season 4, events from 1979 to 1990 are covered. During this period, Margaret Thatcher was Prime Minister, and Prince Charles married Lady Diana Spencer.
